About the position

The People Partner at Elara Caring plays a crucial role in overseeing human resources activities and initiatives within a designated territory. This position acts as a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving the HR agenda and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. The role is hybrid, allowing for both remote and in-office work, and focuses on enhancing employee engagement and operational efficiency within the healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with branch management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Assists with the onboarding of new management to ensure understanding of HR practices, policies, programs, and protocols.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HRD and operations leadership to identify areas of need and develop solutions.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Works closely with management and employees to ensure an engaged and productive work environment.
  • Manages the utilization of companywide engagement and communications programs.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation counseling.
  • Ensures compliance with state, CMS, and accreditation agency requirements of employment.
  • Deploys Human Resources Support Resources to meet client group's needs.
  • Proactively assists in resolving employee and manager issues to ensure a great employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma with 2 to 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Management Systems, preferably Workday.
  • Ability to strategically apply concepts and initiatives that align with business directives.
  • Experience in Home Health service or Hospice environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of performance management and conflict resolution.
