About the position

The People Relations Manager at Renaissance plays a crucial role in the Human Resources department, acting as a key operational partner for business leaders and HR Business Partners. This position is responsible for providing HR guidance, executing HR projects, maintaining HR resources, and developing new initiatives to enhance employee relations and HR service delivery. The role is leveled as a Senior Advisor within the organization, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and continuous improvement in HR practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key operational partner for the business and HR Business Partners providing guidance to employee and manager questions related to policies, HR practices and processes, and COE topics.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the People Assist knowledge library by working with HR Operations to understand question trends and needs for clarity.
  • Serve as an internal HR policy expert and partner with business SMEs to ensure employee-facing policies are relevant and updated.
  • Coach leaders on managing through low performance and the performance improvement process for manager level roles and below.
  • Serve as primary employee contact for Employee Relations issues, escalating to the HR Compliance Manager as appropriate.
  • Meet with employees regarding policy complaints and concerns; escalate to the HR Compliance Manager as appropriate to conduct investigations.
  • Work closely with HRBPs and COEs to ensure successful delivery of HR projects and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide qualitative data for turnover reporting.
  • Assist leaders in understanding people data related to engagement, turnover, and compliance items.
  • Analyze trends in employee questions, concerns, and complaints and work with stakeholders to develop proactive solutions.

Requirements

  • At least five years' Human Resources experience in a COE or HR generalist role.
  • In depth knowledge of HR principles and policies.
  • Foundational understanding of HR COEs and processes including recruitment, DEI, employee relations, compensation, benefits, learning and development, and HR compliance.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal that adapt based on audience.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to carry through processes and handle confidential information.
  • Ability to administer an empathetic approach to garner trust and establish relationships.
  • Honed critical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills with a focus on conflict resolution.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize to meet deadlines.
