About the position

The People Services Business Data Analyst at Lifepoint Health is responsible for analyzing workforce data and providing insights to support human resources programs. This role involves using reporting tools and dashboards to track data, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate reports that aid in decision-making. The analyst will work in a hybrid capacity, combining on-site and remote work, and will play a crucial role in synthesizing HR data to tell compelling stories that drive organizational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report business data in areas such as recruitment, retention, talent, compensation, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations.
  • Monitor and assess results from dashboards, analyze activities, and present information for executive proposals and decision support.
  • Write queries and extract data from systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Use large data sets to predict and summarize outcomes on KPIs.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to track data.
  • Develop proposals and recommendations for new or improved work processes, policies, and practices.
  • Maintain databases and extract data for analysis.
  • Respond to data requests with actionable insights using credible data sources.
  • Prepare reports that communicate findings from data analyses and provide management recommendations.
  • Conduct surveys and studies to collect relevant HR data.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for employee-related data including headcount and turnover metrics.
  • Work with all levels of management for consulting on data, reporting, or planning needs.
  • Research and analyze data representing the organization's operations and workforce demographics.
  • Interpret trends, gaps, opportunities, and patterns in human resource measures.
  • Research and develop new methods for collecting data and presenting it in comprehensible graphics.
  • Design and develop relational databases for data collection.
  • Present detailed reports to various audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, computer science, or a related area of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, warehousing, and reporting.
  • Experience using BI tools such as Tableau and Looker for data visualization and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, Taleo, Lawson, UKG, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in human resources and workforce data management and analysis is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with large data sets and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement metrics and reporting.
