About the position

The People Technology Functional Specialist at Wise is a pivotal role focused on managing and optimizing the People Tools tech stack. This position involves maintaining the performance of People systems, driving process efficiencies, and providing exceptional service to stakeholders. The specialist will work closely with the People Technology Lead to design, deliver, and maintain People Systems, ensuring a customer-first mindset throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders in the area of POD and/or Rewards to implement solutions and maintain/support existing processes.
  • Manage support queries from stakeholders via our ticketing system Jira.
  • Support junior members of the team in solving tickets & queries.
  • Identify development areas and provide technical solutions utilizing People systems and technology.
  • Provide support for HR System upgrades and enhancements, including prioritization, functional design, documentation, testing, training, implementation, and support model design.
  • Consult with functional leaders and SMEs in the People team to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that increase operational efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Review business processes to ensure system features are fully utilized and identify tool features that may improve efficiency.
  • Build basic and advanced custom reports and extract data requests.
  • Advise and train the People team on using People tools best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and investigate and resolve errors quickly and efficiently.
  • Collect, document, and maintain security requirements and policies for user-level access to People applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with People systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on implementation experience with Workday HCM, with talent & performance being a must and compensation being a nice to have.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with different functional stakeholders at all levels of a global organization.
  • Certifications: Workday HCM and one other certification/area of expertise in Talent & Performance.
  • Strong background in HRIS (Workday) configuration, administration, and core HCM.
  • Experience with other People tools such as Peakon, Absorb Learning, Smart Recruiters, Cronofy, Visier, Ravio, Confluence, Jira, Monday.com.
  • Experience in end-to-end system implementation.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysis.
