About the position

The Manager of CFO Services at A&M will work closely with private equity portfolio companies to enhance their financial performance and operational efficiency. This role focuses on providing strategic financial solutions, improving transparency in business operations, and supporting clients in achieving their financial goals through hands-on involvement and expert guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Guide team members in data collection, validation, and analysis.
  • Lead client interviews to gather insights and understand stakeholder perspectives.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and challenge existing assumptions to improve financial processes.
  • Forecast liquidity needs and assess financial/accounting process inefficiencies.
  • Present issues and opportunities clearly to clients.
  • Own and complete workstreams based on CFO Services pillars.
  • Set and communicate client expectations consistently throughout projects.
  • Develop actionable plans to optimize working capital and improve process transparency.
  • Identify risks and create contingency plans for project obstacles.
  • Leverage experience to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team.
  • Provide coaching and share knowledge with team members.
  • Build and review financial models and provide valuable financial analysis.
  • Offer insights and improvement initiatives to senior management and board members.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, data analytics programs, and presentation skills.
  • CPA, CFA, or Master's Degree preferred but not required.
