About the position

The Manager of CFO Services at PEPI plays a crucial role in working with private equity-held portfolio companies to deliver solutions that enhance value preservation and generation. The primary objective is to improve transparency regarding key business drivers and performance metrics, thereby supporting the increase of cash flow and EBITDA. This position involves hands-on engagement with clients to ensure they have credible plans and the capability to execute and achieve desired financial outcomes. CFO Services encompasses several key areas, including Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization, Strategic Analytics & Planning, Performance Measurement & Management, Business Transformation, and Auxiliary Services such as Accounting Remediation. In this role, the Manager will be responsible for data collection, validation, and analysis. This includes guiding team members in their information-gathering approaches and ensuring that all relevant sources of information are pursued. The Manager will lead client interviews, asking insightful questions to understand various stakeholders' perspectives. Identifying knowledge gaps and challenging the status quo will be essential, as will the ability to forecast liquidity needs and assess financial and accounting process inefficiencies. Project management and implementation are also key components of this position. The Manager will own and complete workstreams based on the CFO Services pillars, ensuring that project approaches, timelines, and deliverables are logical and accurate. Setting and communicating client expectations consistently is vital, as is the ability to identify risks and obstacles early on and create contingency plans. Leadership is a significant aspect of this role, as the Manager will leverage their experience to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team. Recognizing the current skill sets of team members and maximizing their contributions will be crucial. Additionally, the Manager will share knowledge and provide coaching to teammates. Financial acumen is necessary for building and reviewing financial models, providing valuable financial analysis, and evaluating accounting treatments. The Manager will also be expected to offer insights and improvement initiatives to senior management and board members.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Proficient in financial models, data analytics programs, and presentation skills.
  • CPA, CFA, or Master's Degree preferred but not required.
