The Manager of CFO Services at PEPI will play a pivotal role in working with private equity-held portfolio companies to deliver solutions that enhance value preservation and generation. The primary objective is to improve transparency regarding key drivers and business performance, thereby supporting the increase of cash flow and EBITDA. This position involves hands-on engagement with clients to ensure they have credible plans and the capability to execute and achieve desired financial outcomes. CFO Services encompasses several key areas, including Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization, Strategic Analytics & Planning, Performance Measurement & Management, Business Transformation, and Auxiliary Services such as Accounting Remediation. In this role, the Manager will be responsible for data collection, validation, and analysis. This includes guiding team members in their information-gathering approaches and ensuring that all relevant sources of information are pursued. The Manager will lead client interviews, asking insightful questions to understand various stakeholders' perspectives, and will identify knowledge gaps while challenging the status quo. The ability to forecast liquidity needs accurately, pinpoint financial and accounting process inefficiencies, and assess organizational design is crucial. The Manager will ensure that issues and opportunities are presented clearly and concisely. Project management and implementation are also key components of this role. The Manager will own and complete workstreams based on the CFO Services pillars, ensuring that project approaches, timelines, and deliverables are logical and accurate. Setting and communicating client expectations consistently is essential, as is the ability to identify risks and obstacles early on and create contingency plans. Leadership skills are necessary to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team, maximizing each member's contribution and providing coaching as needed. Financial acumen is critical, as the Manager will build and review various financial models, conduct valuable financial analyses, and evaluate accounting treatments. The ability to provide insights and improvement initiatives to senior management and board members is a key expectation of this role.
