The Manager of CFO Services at A&M plays a pivotal role in working with private equity-held portfolio companies to deliver solutions that enhance value preservation and generation. This position involves hands-on engagement with clients to ensure they have credible plans and the capability to execute and achieve desired financial outcomes. CFO Services encompasses several key areas, including Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization, Strategic Analytics & Planning, Performance Measurement & Management, Business Transformation, and Auxiliary Services such as Accounting Remediation. The Manager will be responsible for data collection, validation, and analysis, guiding team members in their information-gathering efforts, and ensuring that all relevant sources are explored. This role requires leading client interviews, asking insightful questions, and understanding the perspectives of various stakeholders. In addition to identifying knowledge gaps and challenging the status quo, the Manager will pinpoint key business challenges, forecast liquidity needs, and assess financial and accounting process inefficiencies. The ability to present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely is crucial. The Manager will also oversee project management and implementation, ensuring that project approaches, timelines, and deliverables are logical and accurate. Setting and communicating client expectations consistently is essential, as is the ability to identify risks and create contingency plans. Leadership is a significant aspect of this role, as the Manager will leverage their experience to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team.
