About the position
The Manager of Merger Integration and Carve-Outs at Alvarez and Marsal will play a crucial role in the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team, focusing on enhancing operational skills and providing strategic insights throughout the lifecycle of complex mergers and acquisitions. This position involves working closely with private equity clients to identify and address key business issues, ensuring successful integration and value creation post-deal.
Responsibilities
- Identify key client business issues and determine client needs using innovative assessment techniques.
- Lead workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) such as Synergies, TSAs, and Day 1 Readiness.
- Drive performance improvement assessments across enterprises and oversee the implementation of recommendations.
- Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies as required.
- Provide service excellence by evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for clients.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
- Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
- Deep functional expertise in Finance and Accounting operations, HR/Organizational design, Supply Chain/Operations, and other related areas.
- Program management and leadership experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills and initiative.
Nice-to-haves
- MBA preferred.
- Experience in leading one or more work streams in a business transformation.
- Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.
