About the position

The Manager of Merger Integration and Carve-Outs at Alvarez and Marsal will play a crucial role in the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team, focusing on enhancing operational skills and providing strategic insights throughout the lifecycle of complex mergers and acquisitions. This position involves working closely with private equity clients to identify and address key business issues, ensuring successful integration and value creation post-deal.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues and determining client needs.
  • Lead workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) depending on deal size.
  • Drive performance improvement assessments across enterprises and oversee the implementation of recommendations.
  • Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies as required.
  • Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for clients in the context of overall engagements.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
  • Experience in integration planning and divestitures is a plus.
  • Deep functional expertise in finance and accounting operations, HR/organizational design, supply chain/operations, and other relevant areas.
  • Program management and leadership experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and initiative.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience in leading one or more work streams in a business transformation.
  • Specific experience designing and leading execution of change/communications strategies.
