About the position
The position at A&M Fund Management Solutions involves working closely with private equity managers to enhance and optimize their operational functions. The role focuses on providing strategic analytics, performance measurement, business transformation, and operational improvement services to clients. The goal is to improve efficiency and reduce risks associated with non-investing aspects of business performance, ensuring that clients receive hands-on support in their operations.
Responsibilities
- Guide team members in information gathering and ensure all relevant sources are pursued.
- Lead client interviews, asking inquisitive questions to understand different stakeholders' perspectives.
- Identify knowledge gaps and challenge the status quo to develop better assumptions.
- Pinpoint financial, accounting, and operational process inefficiencies and assess organizational design.
- Present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely.
- Own and complete workstreams based on the services provided by Fund Management Solutions.
- Ensure project approach, timeline, and deliverables are logical and accurate.
- Set and communicate client expectations consistently.
- Create actionable plans to optimize processes and improve transparency.
- Identify risks and obstacles early, creating contingency plans and communicating with clients.
- Leverage experience to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team.
- Recognize team members' skill sets and maximize their contributions.
- Share knowledge and provide coaching to teammates.
- Build and review financial models and provide valuable financial analysis.
- Evaluate accounting treatments and provide insights to senior management.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Investment Banking, or Private Equity, preferably at a fund/asset manager.
- Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
- CPA, CFA, or Master's Degree preferred but not required.
