About the position

The position at A&M Fund Management Solutions involves working closely with private equity managers to enhance and optimize their operational functions. The role focuses on providing strategic analytics, performance measurement, business transformation, and operational improvement services. The professional will be responsible for data collection, validation, analysis, project management, and leadership within the team, ensuring that client expectations are met and that financial processes are optimized for efficiency and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Guide team members in information gathering and ensure all relevant sources are pursued.
  • Lead client interviews and understand different stakeholders' perspectives.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and challenge the status quo to develop better assumptions.
  • Pinpoint financial, accounting, and operational process inefficiencies.
  • Present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely.
  • Own and complete workstreams based on the services provided by Fund Management Solutions.
  • Set and communicate client expectations consistently.
  • Create actionable plans to optimize processes and improve transparency.
  • Identify risks and obstacles early, creating contingency plans as needed.
  • Leverage experience to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team.
  • Maximize team members' contributions based on their skill sets.
  • Build and review financial models and provide valuable financial analysis.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Investment Banking, or Private Equity, preferably at a fund/asset manager.
  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • CPA, CFA, or Master's Degree preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management and implementation.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to provide insights and improvement initiatives to senior management.
