About the position

The Manager, Private Equity, Fund Management Solutions role at Alvarez & Marsal focuses on optimizing operations for private equity managers. The role encompasses various services including strategic analytics, performance measurement, business transformation, and operational reviews.

Responsibilities

• Guide team members in data collection, validation, and analysis.
• Lead client interviews and understand stakeholder perspectives.
• Identify knowledge gaps and challenge the status quo.
• Pinpoint financial and operational inefficiencies and assess organizational design.
• Present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely.
• Own and complete workstreams based on Fund Management Solutions services.
• Set and communicate client expectations consistently.
• Create actionable plans to optimize processes and improve transparency.
• Identify risks and create contingency plans.
• Leverage experience to guide and promote innovative thinking within the team.
• Provide coaching and share knowledge with teammates.
• Build and review financial models and provide valuable financial analysis.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
• Experience at a fund/asset manager or equivalent business is strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics is preferred but not required.
• CPA, CFA, or Master's Degree is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in project management and implementation.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to guide teams.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
