About the position

A&M CFO Services is dedicated to working with private equity-held portfolio companies, providing tailored solutions aimed at preserving and generating value for our clients' businesses. Our primary objective is to enhance transparency regarding key drivers and overall business performance, which in turn supports the increase of cash flow and EBITDA. We pride ourselves on our hands-on involvement in our clients' operations, ensuring that private equity firms can rely on credible plans and the capability to execute and deliver favorable financial outcomes. The CFO Services team offers a comprehensive range of services, including Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization, Strategic Analytics & Planning, Performance Measurement & Management, Business Transformation, and Auxiliary Services such as Accounting Remediation. Our approach is data-driven, focusing on the collection, validation, and analysis of information to inform our strategies and recommendations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading client interviews to gather meaningful data, identifying information gaps through trend analysis, and challenging preconceived beliefs with fact-based analytics. You will also be tasked with improving management reporting and developing reliable forecasting models. Project management is a key component of this position, where you will review and provide inputs to all work products, ensuring that client deliverables are presented logically and accurately. You will develop financial models independently and create bespoke solutions during unprecedented times, all while promoting a collaborative team environment that values diverse ideas and opinions.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection, validation, and analysis based on specific project scope.
  • Lead client interviews to gather meaningful data and identify information gaps.
  • Investigate beyond initial answers and challenge preconceived beliefs with analytics.
  • Deep dive into relevant data to improve management reporting and develop forecasting.
  • Develop storyline messages using supporting facts and ensure branding standards are met.
  • Review and provide inputs to all work products, ensuring logical and accurate client deliverables.
  • Set reasonable timelines and expectations aligned with client needs.
  • Develop financial models, including three-statement forecasts and liquidity forecasting.
  • Create client presentations independently and accurately.
  • Promote a team environment that encourages diverse ideas and opinions.
  • Share knowledge and provide coaching to teammates.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Experience in building integrated financial models and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in private equity or investment banking environments.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
