About the position

A&M CFO Services works closely with private equity-held portfolio companies, providing tailored solutions aimed at preserving and generating value for their businesses. The primary objective is to enhance transparency regarding key drivers and business performance, thereby supporting the increase of cash flow and EBITDA. The team is dedicated to ensuring that private equity firms have credible plans in place, along with the capability to execute and deliver on financial outcomes. The CFO Services division offers a range of services, including Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization, Strategic Analytics & Planning, Performance Measurement & Management, Business Transformation, and Auxiliary Services such as Accounting Remediation. In this role, you will be responsible for data collection, validation, and analysis. This includes developing information requests tailored to specific project scopes, leading client interviews to gather meaningful data, and identifying information gaps through trend analysis and pattern recognition. You will be expected to investigate beyond initial answers, challenging preconceived beliefs with fact-based analytics. A deep dive into relevant data will be necessary to improve management reporting and develop reliable forecasting. You will also create storyline messages supported by facts and analyses, ensuring that data and branding standards are consistently maintained throughout presentations. Project management and implementation are key components of this position. You will review and provide input on all work products, ensuring that client deliverables are presented logically and accurately. Setting reasonable timelines and expectations in alignment with clients is crucial. Additionally, you will develop financial models, including three-statement forecasts and liquidity forecasting, and create client presentations independently. The role requires bespoke solutions and creative approaches, especially during unprecedented times. Teamwork is essential, as you will promote an environment where diverse ideas and opinions are encouraged. Sharing knowledge and experience, as well as providing coaching to teammates, will be part of your responsibilities. Financial acumen is critical, as you will need to build various financial models and provide insightful analyses, understanding the impacts on profit and balance sheets stemming from key operating levers.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Experience in building integrated financial models and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.
