About the position

The Senior Associate position within A&M CFO Services focuses on providing strategic financial solutions to private equity-held portfolio companies. The primary objective is to enhance transparency regarding key business drivers and performance metrics, ultimately supporting the growth of cash flow and EBITDA. This role involves hands-on engagement with clients to ensure that portfolio companies have credible financial plans and the capability to achieve desired financial outcomes. The CFO Services team offers a range of services, including Liquidity & Working Capital Optimization, Strategic Analytics & Planning, Performance Measurement & Management, Business Transformation, and Auxiliary Services such as Accounting Remediation. In this role, the Senior Associate will be responsible for data collection, validation, and analysis. This includes developing information requests tailored to specific project scopes, leading client interviews to gather meaningful data, and identifying information gaps through trend analysis and pattern recognition. The Senior Associate will be expected to challenge preconceived notions with fact-based analytics and conduct deep dives into relevant data to enhance management reporting and develop reliable forecasting models. Additionally, the role requires the development of storyline messages that align with data and branding standards for client presentations. Project management and implementation are key components of this position. The Senior Associate will review and provide input on all work products, ensuring that client deliverables are presented logically and accurately. Setting reasonable timelines and expectations in alignment with client needs is crucial. The role also involves developing financial models, including three-statement forecasts and liquidity forecasts, and creating client presentations independently. Teamwork is emphasized in this position, with a focus on fostering an environment where diverse ideas and opinions are valued. The Senior Associate will share knowledge and experience, providing coaching to teammates to enhance overall team performance. Financial acumen is essential, as the role requires the ability to build various financial models and provide insightful analyses, understanding the impacts on profit and balance sheets stemming from key operating levers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited 4-year college/university with a concentration in accounting, finance, or economics preferred but not required.
  • 3-7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
  • Experience in building integrated financial models and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.
