About the position

The Per Diem Clinical Informatics Support position at RWJBarnabas Health involves overseeing and managing clinical information technology strategies to align with clinical goals within the health system. This role provides clinical leadership, resolves workflow issues, and ensures effective communication among clinical user groups and IT services.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the implementation, upgrading, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical information systems.
• Maintains open communication among clinical user groups to determine issues or problem areas and facilitates resolutions.
• Provides proactive user support including training and education.
• Acts as a role model for professional practice, including patient advocacy and ethical conduct.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programs and modifies them as necessary.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership in evaluating the learning process of nursing division staff.

Requirements

• 2-5 years' experience in nursing informatics or as a super user.
• Experience in the use of EPIC.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Captivate.
• Current NJ Registered Nursing License.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
