About the position
The Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Comprehensive Wellness Centers involves providing direct nursing care in a substance abuse and mental health facility. The role requires compassionate nurses with strong mental health experience to support clients in various levels of care, including residential, PHP, and IOP. The LPN will work closely with the treatment team to ensure safe and effective care, while also establishing therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments
- Work closely with Behavioral Health Technicians to provide safe and effective care
- Provide routine nursing care
- Review medication logs
- Assist in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of patients in coordination with the attending physician
- Attend monthly staff meetings
Requirements
- License to practice nursing in the state of Florida
- CPR Training
- Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of Nursing
- Experience in mental health facilities
- Strong assessment abilities
- Organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize care
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Empathy and understanding of patient needs
