About the position

Comprehensive Wellness Centers, LLC is seeking qualified Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for both day and night shifts. This role involves providing direct nursing care and psychological support in a substance abuse and mental health facility, catering to various levels of care including residential, PHP, and IOP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments
• Work closely with Behavioral Health Technicians to provide safe and effective care
• Provide routine nursing care
• Review medication logs
• Assist in overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of patients in coordination with the attending physician
• Attend monthly staff meetings

Requirements

• Valid LPN license in the state of Florida
• CPR Training
• Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of Nursing
• Experience in mental health facilities
• Strong assessment abilities
• Organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize care
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication with the treatment team
• Empathy and understanding of patient needs

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in substance abuse treatment
