About the position
Penn State Health is seeking a per diem / prn Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care Level I unit in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This role involves assessing patient health problems, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The RN will provide care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients, administer medications, and monitor patient conditions. The position offers flexible 12-hour shifts and up to 36 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer nursing care to patients.
- Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions and side effects.
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
