About the position
Penn State Health is seeking a per diem / prn Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Level II unit in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient health problems, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. This role involves administering nursing care to patients, advising on health maintenance, and monitoring patient conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
- Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions and side effects.
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to the end of the orientation period.
