About the position

We are looking for outstanding Per-Diem medical providers with a specific interest in LGBTQIA+ Health and Primary Care. The medical providers are responsible for providing outpatient care on a per-diem basis and assisting with coverage of both Fenway Health's evening episodic clinics, which take place on Monday-Thursday from 4-7pm, and Fenway Health's weekend episodic care clinic, which takes place on Saturday from 9am-1pm. The clinicians will provide direct medical services to the full range of Fenway Health patients, including conducting exams, ordering tests, prescribing medication, formulating treatment plans and providing preventive health care advice and psychosocial screening and assessment. NOTE: Position currently involves some remote work including conducting telehealth visits with patients. Remote work hours and duties are subject to change based on patient demand, federal and state changes to work regulations, and payor reimbursement guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient care on a per-diem basis.
  • Assist with coverage of evening episodic clinics from Monday to Thursday (4-7pm).
  • Assist with coverage of weekend episodic care clinic on Saturday (9am-1pm).
  • Conduct exams, order tests, prescribe medication, and formulate treatment plans.
  • Provide preventive health care advice and psychosocial screening and assessment.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, PA, or NP degree
  • Current Massachusetts license
  • Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registrations
  • For Physicians: board certification in internal medicine, an internal medicine subspecialty, emergency medicine, or family practice
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience (three years or greater) in a primary care setting
  • Previous experience working in pediatric care
  • Interest in LGBT healthcare
  • Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients and vendors across the spectrum of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, national origin and immigrant status, religious or spiritual identity, disability (physical, mental, emotional and developmental), veteran status, and/or limited English proficiency.
