Responsibilities

• Manage the classroom effectively, including during lunch and recess periods when necessary.
• Communicate with the absent teacher regarding classroom activities, including work completed and any issues that arose.
• Adhere to all district policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook and contractual agreements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by school building administrators.

Requirements

• 2 years of college equivalent experience is required.
• Any New York State teaching certificate allows an individual to work as a Per Diem Teacher.
• Candidates not holding a NYS certificate must be fingerprinted and have New York State Education Department employment clearance.

Benefits

• Starting salary of $140.00 per day, increasing to $255.00 per day based on experience.
