About the position
The Per Diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist at UCI Health is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient nuclear medicine department, utilizing radioactive isotopes for enhanced diagnostic imaging. This role involves performing all nuclear medicine procedures under the general direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and efficient nuclear medicine department.
- Perform all nuclear medicine procedures using radioactive isotopes.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the department.
Requirements
- Current and Active NMTCB and/or ARRT (N) Licensure for Nuclear Medicine.
- Registered and licensed by the State of California.
- CPR Certification required.
- Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Nice-to-haves
- 2 years progressively more responsible experience under nuclear related program/job.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
