About the position
Per Mar Security Services is actively seeking Event Staff to join our expanding team in Ankeny, IA. This full-time position is specifically for the second shift, which operates from Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to midnight. The starting pay for this role is $15 per hour. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of events, utilizing your skills and training to manage various situations effectively. Applicants must have a clean background and the ability to pass a drug test, as well as dependable transportation to and from work. This role requires familiarity with security equipment and the ability to handle a physical workload, as well as a strong attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure event premises to ensure safety and security.
- Utilize security equipment effectively to manage and respond to incidents.
- Provide excellent customer service to event attendees and staff.
- Conduct regular patrols of the event area to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
- Assist in the enforcement of event rules and regulations.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Familiarity with security equipment is preferred.
- Ability to handle a physical workload is necessary.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in security or event management is a plus.
