About the position

As our Percentage of Completion Cost Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Engineered and Pump Divisions by managing inventory, overseeing accounting practices, maintaining accounting records and preparing financial reports. Your responsibilities will encompass general accounting, cost accounting and budgetary controls. You will appraise operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends, and increased profit opportunities. This position may work in our Detroit Lakes, MN, Plymouth, MN, Madison, WI, Largo, FL, Randolph, MA, Vacaville, CA, Hoover, AL or Ashland, OH location or with the proper experience be fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Plant Managers to conduct detailed cost analysis for manufacturing processes.
• Identify cost saving opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Review transactions, revenues, variances, costs, and inventory.
• Prepare, comprehend, and evaluate financial statements pertaining to Engineered locations.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and ASC 606.
• Analyze monthly project accounting metrics including percentage of completion to explain project financial position.

Requirements

• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with cost of completion project accounting.
• Ability to navigate ERP software and understand cost analysis.
• Strong operations orientation and ability to partner with operating teams.
• 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance is desired.
• 3-5 years of experience.
