In the role of Performance Architect within the AMD Server Performance Group, you will focus on enhancing the performance of Cloud Native and Datacenter workloads, collaborating with major customers in the cloud computing sector. This position involves close interaction with silicon design teams to influence the development of next-generation AMD EPYC products. As a senior member of the technical team, you will lead critical projects that are vital to AMD's server business segment, leveraging your expertise in performance analysis of both hardware microarchitecture and the software stack, as well as performance model development. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and optimizing workloads on AMD-based hardware in cloud computing environments, covering the entire stack from applications and frameworks to the operating system, hypervisor, and hardware subsystems. You will collect and analyze performance profiling data from customer deployments to identify bottlenecks and provide insights that will inform the development of future server CPUs and software components. Additionally, you will explore hardware and software co-optimization opportunities, debug performance issues, and prototype solutions to enhance performance. Your role will also involve micro-benchmarking, workload characterization, and competitive analysis across various hardware platforms, as well as collaborating with team members to propose performance enhancements based on design architecture.
