About the position

The Performance Architect role at Dell involves leading the analysis and optimization of performance strategies for innovative PC products. Responsibilities

• Establish system performance requirements and optimize products to meet those requirements.
• Validate that products meet established performance requirements.
• Collaborate with internal development teams and external suppliers to develop innovative PC solutions.
• Utilize performance analysis tools, software optimization techniques, and benchmarking processes.
• Drive external suppliers and development partners to deliver robust performance solutions.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Engineering or a similar field with 7-10+ years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge of system and x86 processor architecture.
• Strong understanding of balancing power, thermals, and acoustics to optimize system performance and user experience.
• Proven track record of evaluating the performance impact of new hardware, firmware, and/or software features.
• Experience working with major silicon vendors and leveraging their latest technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree is a plus.
• Experience with defining and implementing policies into ML algorithms for dynamic system performance optimization.
