About the position

As a Performance Architect on Dell's Advanced Architecture team, you will lead the analysis and optimization of performance strategies for cutting-edge PC products. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to develop innovative solutions, utilizing advanced performance analysis tools and techniques. The position emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and excellence in delivering best-in-class consumer and commercial PC solutions.

Responsibilities

• Establish system performance requirements and optimize products to meet those requirements.
• Validate that products meet established performance requirements.
• Work with internal development teams and external suppliers to develop innovative PC solutions.
• Utilize leading-edge performance analysis tools and software optimization techniques.
• Drive external suppliers and development partners to deliver robust performance solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field.
• 7-10+ years of experience in system performance analysis and optimization.
• Extensive knowledge of system and x86 processor architecture.
• Strong understanding of balancing power, thermals, and acoustics to optimize system performance.
• Proven track record of evaluating performance impacts of new hardware, firmware, and software features.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with defining and implementing policies into ML algorithms for dynamic system performance optimization.
