About the position

The Craft Performance Development Coordinator will support the Craft/Field Operations Team at Okland Construction by partnering with craft leaders to assist with employee onboarding, performance reviews, career development, and recruiting events. This role is crucial for enhancing the operational initiatives of the commercial construction and concrete craft teams, aiming to grow the craft workforce and reduce reliance on temporary employees.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and assist with the performance review process for craft team members, in concert with field operations.
  • Maintain and review performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the delivery and completion of required online trainings related to the safety program and other operations standards.
  • Maintain and manage the administration of craft manpower tracking and dispatching in concert with operations and talent acquisition.
  • Maintain and manage the temporary worker program in partnership with field operations and accounting.
  • Coordinate and assist with corrective actions, prevention, and performance improvement processes alongside the HR Operations team.
  • Coordinate the hiring process for new craft team members, in concert with the field operations.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new craft team members, alongside the Safety Team and Field Operations.
  • Assist with benefits open enrollment support, all hands meetings support, special events support, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, HR, business or a related field is preferred or equivalent years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in performance development, training, onboarding, or recruiting is preferred.
  • Background or experience in craft work is preferred, but not required (e.g., laborer, carpenter, cement mason).
  • 3 to 5+ years of combined experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with safety programs and training processes.
