About the position
Under the auspices of the Quality Improvement Department, the Performance Improvement Coordinator conducts performance improvement activities to ensure consistency with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. All employees are responsible for extending the mission and values of Baltimore Washington Medical Center by dedicating oneself to providing the highest quality healthcare services to the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Conduct performance improvement activities to ensure consistency with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Extend the mission and values of Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
- Collaborate with the Director of Performance Improvement and Clinical Decision Support.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure is required.
- Three years experience in Performance Improvement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Computer skills, knowledge of research and statistical methods.
- Excellent writing skills and knowledge of correct business English.
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with physicians, hospital personnel, and external agencies.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with automated databases including Word and Excel.
