About the position
The Performance Improvement Program Manager oversees, develops, and enhances organization wide systems for quality outcomes and performance improvement. This role involves collaboration with various departments including patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and infection prevention.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance organization-wide systems for quality outcomes and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and infection prevention teams.
- Facilitate cooperative process improvement activities among individuals and multidisciplinary teams.
- Utilize Performance Improvement tools effectively.
- Analyze health outcomes measurement and data.
- Maintain professional conduct in stressful situations and demonstrate leadership ability.
- Organize and prioritize projects, departments, teams, and committees independently.
- Teach staff and directors appropriate quality-related information in an effective format.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Five (5) years' experience in health care quality and performance improvement is required.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Experience with group leadership and facilitation required.
- Evidence of strong computer skills required.
- Proficient in the use of Performance Improvement tools.
- Understanding of health outcomes measurement and analysis.
- Demonstrates systems thinking related to population health.
- Possesses an understanding of health system electronic health record (EHR).
- Ability to work with confidential information and knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- RN with Mass license preferred.
- Lean/6 Sigma certification required.
- Project management certification required.
