About the position

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality improvement projects to achieve hospital goals and objectives.
• Lead improvement projects through all phases including identification, prioritization, and completion.
• Facilitate teams and ensure adherence to project timelines and action planning.
• Analyze quality data and communicate findings using simple visuals, including control and run charts.
• Collaborate with management to understand department needs and ensure project alignment.
• Support compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Engage in the healthcare quality profession ethically and enhance personal competence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, healthcare, or business administration, or equivalent healthcare practitioner experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality/performance improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Intermediate project management skills required.
• Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred within 2 years of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in data reporting applications such as Vizient Benchmarking Database and Qliksense preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Bronze, PMP, or comparable certification is preferred.
