About the position

The Performance Management Analyst position within the Office of Research, Operations and Innovation at Cook County government focuses on enhancing operational efficiencies and services across various departments. The role involves analyzing performance metrics, making policy recommendations, and assisting in performance studies to improve departmental effectiveness and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance measurements and make policy recommendations regarding department performance.
  • Assist in conducting performance studies regarding fiscal and management operations.
  • Research similar governmental entities for informational and comparative purposes.
  • Develop strategies to address operational inefficiencies and create cost savings.
  • Improve employee performance by analyzing organizational planning and operations.
  • Establish and maintain communication with departmental performance management liaisons.
  • Consult with staff and leadership on complex issues and challenges.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Two (2) years of business operations, project management, change management, or government program administration/operations experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is acceptable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Skill in analysis and understanding of policies, protocols, and technical vernacular related to County offices.
  • Ability to learn and understand the operations of a governmental entity.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
