At CarGurus, we are seeking a highly-analytical and self-motivated individual to join our Performance Marketing team. This role is pivotal in driving multimillion-dollar traffic acquisition campaigns that strengthen our position as a leading online car shopping website. As a Performance Marketer, you will be responsible for assessing industry trends and analyzing marketing and product performance to inform investment decisions. You will own data analysis across various markets to optimize the efficiency of our marketing programs. This position requires a blend of analytics, strategy, and marketing expertise, making it ideal for someone who loves data, enjoys testing hypotheses, and is eager to understand how different functional areas work together to provide data-driven recommendations that accelerate growth. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Finance to provide novel insights that support strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include traffic forecasting and financial modeling to inform consumer marketing investments, analyzing historical performance, and understanding market dynamics to determine optimal budgets across all markets and products. You will also build, manage, and optimize paid performance campaigns in our international markets, measure the performance of existing initiatives, and conduct data-driven analyses to identify optimization and growth opportunities. Additionally, you will develop quantitative analyses and ad hoc reports to support marketing decisions related to marketing spend efficiency, user lifetime value, user engagement and retention, and return on investment. You will own traffic and conversion reporting across all business units, exploring trends and spotting anomalies, and conduct deep dives into inconsistent trends in data. Synthesizing findings into actionable insights and communicating results to key partners and senior leadership will be crucial aspects of your role.
