About the position

The Performance Test Architect is responsible for designing and implementing performance testing strategies to ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of software applications. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze performance requirements, create test plans, and execute performance tests, requiring a deep understanding of performance testing tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive performance test strategies aligned with project requirements and objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing goals, metrics, and success criteria.
• Design and document performance test scenarios and scripts based on system requirements and user stories.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish benchmarks for performance testing.
• Utilize industry-standard performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling) to simulate real-world scenarios and measure system performance.
• Analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to address and resolve performance-related issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on performance testing best practices.
• Create comprehensive performance test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and performance analysis reports.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to convey performance testing results and recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Performance Test Architect or similar role in performance testing.
• Deep understanding of performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience with industry-standard performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and Gatling.
• Strong analytical skills to identify performance bottlenecks and issues.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Experience in cloud-based performance testing solutions.
• Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation.
