About the position

The Semiconductor Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of products and devices for the electronic communications industry. This role involves creating verification test benches, implementing verification components, and conducting performance analysis to optimize product features. The engineer will work closely with system architects and design teams to ensure performance verification objectives are met and to address any design defects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop verification test benches and implement verification components.
  • Create test cases for simulation and performance analysis.
  • Debug failures and create simulation corner cases for various studies.
  • Analyze performance characteristics to optimize product features.
  • Establish and maintain performance correlation with different levels of abstraction - RTL and emulation.
  • Perform performance verification objectives and close performance verification loop with software deliverables.
  • Develop and close performance tests and extract results from performance regression.
  • Collaborate with system, architect, and design teams on use case analysis and performance analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in semiconductor design engineering or related occupation.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, OVM or UVM, Synopsys VCS, and Synopsys Verdi.
  • Proficiency in testbench development, verification, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with UVM Class based verification methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AMBA3 and AMBA4 (including ACE) bus protocols.
