About the position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality medical imaging procedures, particularly in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn). This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff. The Sonographer will play a crucial role in patient care by providing accurate diagnostic images that assist in medical evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations using appropriate techniques and equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, maintaining a compassionate approach.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and answer any questions they may have.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately assess images.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the medical record system.
• Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Ultrasound required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• RDMS required
• RDMS - OB/GYN preferred
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and patient care practices.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Maternal-fetal medicine: 3 years (Preferred)
