About the position

The position involves overseeing and leading Medline's sales efforts for the Perioperative Supply Management solution targeted at the acute care customer market in the Pacific Northwest. The role focuses on developing consultative sales relationships, implementing sales strategies, and driving business growth through effective management of sales teams and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to identify perioperative pain points and position solutions to drive growth.
  • Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with health system organizations.
  • Implement and drive sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop sales objectives for market areas and direct activities related to business growth.
  • Research opportunities and set strategies for future business growth in collaboration with various departments.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of products, procedures, and practices to recommend pricing strategies and promotional programs.
  • Develop and present RFP responses and coordinate presentation materials.
  • Coordinate implementation and compliance with signed agreements with Account Reps.
  • Negotiate sales and introduce Medline programs to gain additional contracts and grow sales.
  • Build relationships and maintain contact with key customers in assigned markets.
  • Provide a main point of contact for Account Reps and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of sales experience OR High school diploma and at least 8 years of sales experience.
  • Experience presenting to and communicating with various audiences.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues and drive improvement.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time for business purposes.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 2 years of experience selling to headquarter level personnel.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing sales professionals.
  • At least 3 years of general experience managing people, including hiring and developing staff.
