The Perishable Representative at H-E-B is a part-time role focused on providing excellent customer service while ensuring the department is well-stocked and maintained. Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service to customers in person and over the phone.
- Prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of display cases and equipment.
- Comply with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in technical areas as needed, including slicing, packaging, and labeling products.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and increase sales.
- Communicate product knowledge to customers and provide samples.
- Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of computer systems (Telxon, ACR, label machine).
- Planning and organizing skills.
