About the position
As an Application Developer at Accenture, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. This role requires expert proficiency in Perl scripting and a strong understanding of Bash scripting, along with experience in system administration and enterprise scheduling applications. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and Infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and streamline processes, ensuring efficient operations within a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure applications to meet business requirements.
- Maintain and modify existing Perl scripts for error handling and business needs.
- Perform system administration functions in job scheduling applications like Control-M.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to troubleshoot and define new process requests.
- Participate in software upgrades and patching for scheduling systems.
- Support internal audit efforts for quarterly and yearly reviews.
- Process ITSM tickets according to defined SLAs.
- Take part in On-Call support rotation for night and weekend process failures.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of Perl scripting experience.
- Proficiency in Bash scripting is preferred.
- Experience with Windows Server and Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Deltek, and Oracle EBS.
- Knowledge of Middleware products like Microsoft Biztalk and SAP PI/PO.
- Experience with ETL and Business Warehouse processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with ActiveBatch or similar enterprise scheduling applications.
- Familiarity with general IT/Cybersecurity concepts.
