About the position

This position involves collaboration with a physician to develop anesthesia care plans and administer various types of anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures. The role requires monitoring patients during anesthesia and performing life support measures in emergencies. The CRNA will also assist with departmental duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation
• Prepare the OR Suite for all types of anesthesia
• Administer, manage, and monitor anesthesia care during induction, maintenance, and emergence
• Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluation

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited program of nurse anesthesia culminating in NBCRNA certification and licensure in the State of Michigan
• At least 3 years of CRNA experience
• Knowledge of anesthesia practices and techniques
• Written, organizational, and interpersonal skills for effective communication
• Ability to perform basic and advanced anesthesia skills
• Compliance with all Medical Center policies and practices

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with adult and pediatric venipuncture
• Experience with arterial line insertion
• Knowledge of medication calculation and effects
• Familiarity with sterile technique
• Experience in airway maintenance
• Experience in administration and management of regional anesthetics
