The Ultrasound Tech plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ensuring high-quality care for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The Ultrasound Tech is expected to interact with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and friendly manner, fostering a supportive and caring atmosphere for patients undergoing ultrasound procedures. In this role, the Ultrasound Tech will be responsible for ensuring that all imaging is performed accurately and efficiently, while also maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the process. The position requires a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and the ability to operate ultrasound equipment proficiently. The Ultrasound Tech will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Interact professionally and compassionately with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety during ultrasound procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in imaging.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Sonography program.
  • At least 2 years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred.
  • ARDMS Certification in at least one specialty required.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) from an AHA approved provider required.
  • Additional RDMS certification in accordance with the department's accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
