We are seeking a talented and passionate Makeup Artist for booth rental at our location in Brookville, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of makeup application techniques and customer service skills, providing exceptional makeup services to clients while ensuring a positive experience. This role allows for creativity and expertise in enhancing clients' natural beauty, making them feel confident and beautiful.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications for various occasions, including weddings, photoshoots, and special events.
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences and desired looks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of color theory to select appropriate shades and products for individual skin tones.
• Sanitate all tools and workspaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience while meeting sales goals.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in makeup artistry and beauty techniques.
• Assist with hair threading services as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
• Collaborate with photographers during photoshoots to achieve desired looks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Makeup Artist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetology principles and practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Experience in retail sales is a plus, with an ability to upsell products effectively.
• Familiarity with photography concepts is beneficial for working in collaborative environments.
• Knowledge of advanced techniques such as dermabrasion is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity in makeup application.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hair styling (1 year preferred).
