About the position

The position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at a Critical Access facility in West Texas is a permanent onsite role aimed at overseeing the financial operations of the healthcare facility. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the facility, particularly in a rural setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial operations of the Critical Access facility.
  • Manage financial risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for the organization.
  • Coordinate budgeting processes and financial planning activities.
  • Supervise financial staff and ensure effective financial management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience as a CFO or Controller in a healthcare setting, preferably in a Critical Access facility.
  • Master's degree and CPA certification are highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a CFO or Controller role.
  • Experience with CPSI EMR is highly preferred.
  • Experience in for-profit acute care hospitals is preferred.
