About the position
The Permanent Substitute Bus Driver position is a Monday to Friday role during the school year, guaranteeing 5.00 hours per day. The driver will be responsible for covering trips, sporting events, and regular routes.
Responsibilities
- Cover trips for students
- Transport students to sporting events
- Drive regular school routes
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have 3 years of driving experience
- Possess a New Jersey Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Have a 'P' passenger and 'S' school bus endorsement
- Have an Airbrake endorsement (training provided)
- Pass a Criminal History background check before hiring
- Obtain a Federal DOT medical examiner's physical with fitness statement card (renewed every two years)
- Maintain a clean driving abstract
