About the position

The Permit Drafter II is responsible for preparing and managing permits for various entities including Railroads, DOT, Cities, Counties, and Utilities. This role involves ensuring timely permit approval, planning routes for customer locations, and complying with governmental and non-governmental permit requirements. The position requires a solid understanding of telecommunications network design and proficiency in using ARCGIS and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage permits for Railroads, DOT, Cities, Counties, and Utilities.
  • Plan routes from the current network to find the best route to customer locations.
  • Identify, procure, and comply with governmental and non-governmental permits.
  • Prepare pole applications and ROW permits for approval by the permitting authority.
  • Complete engineering tasks in support of assigned department/project.
  • Organize, file, and maintain documents and data.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers to assist assigned department/project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.).
  • Experience in telecommunications network design and ARCGIS.
