About the position

The Permitting Project Manager at GreenKey Solar plays a crucial role in driving the development of renewable energy projects by managing the permitting process from initial feasibility evaluations to obtaining full land-use permits. This position requires strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills to navigate local regulations and collaborate with various stakeholders, including landowners and governmental agencies.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Land Use Permitting, collaborating with the development team and external consultants.
• Manage projects through local permitting processes, ensuring success with attorneys, engineers, and environmental specialists.
• Build strong relationships with government bodies, community groups, and other stakeholders to secure project approvals.
• Coordinate sub-consultants, track regulations, and assist with permitting applications, focusing on creative solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in business, finance, real estate, urban and regional planning or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience permitting large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter attitude.
