About the position

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced full-time Personal Assistant who is committed to providing high-level private service as a profession rather than a temporary gig. The position is based in Beverly Hills, with the Personal Assistant working from a nearby office in West Hollywood and also on the go, running errands and engaging in personal shopping. The Principal of the household values a calm and harmonious environment, and the selected candidate will be expected to contribute to this atmosphere. The ideal Personal Assistant will be stylish, resourceful, and knowledgeable about current trends, including the latest restaurants, stores, and cultural events that may interest the Principal. The Personal Assistant will need to have a deep understanding of luxury and possess excellent taste, particularly in sourcing and wrapping gifts with attention to detail. Strong writing and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to anticipate the needs of the Principal, maintain excellent notes, and keep the Principal informed at all times. Trustworthiness, discretion, and a positive demeanor are crucial traits for the candidate, who should also be well-traveled and sophisticated without being pretentious. The role requires a detail-oriented team player who is willing to take on tasks of any size and respects the boundaries between employer and employee. As the Principal entertains frequently, the Personal Assistant will also assist in planning parties and larger events. Key responsibilities include managing the Principal's calendar, updating contact lists, handling correspondence, making reservations, researching travel options, online shopping, managing petty cash, and completing special projects as assigned. While a college degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Photoshop, Adobe, Dropbox, and social media platforms is required, with familiarity in Slack and Asana being a plus. Although this is not a 24/7 role, the Personal Assistant should be available via text outside of normal business hours. Candidates with backgrounds as Personal Assistants, studio talent relations professionals, or chief concierges from luxury hotels are encouraged to apply. Only local candidates familiar with Los Angeles will be considered.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel) and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe, Dropbox, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and think several steps ahead.
  • Trustworthy and discreet with a positive demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented with a no-job-too-big-or-too-small mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in studio talent relations or luxury hotel concierge services.
  • Proficiency in Slack and Asana.
