About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant/Caregiver to provide essential support for a young adult with special needs. This part-time role involves personal care tasks and engaging in community activities, ensuring a fulfilling and supportive environment for the individual.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, and meal preparation.
• Assist with laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
• Engage in community activities such as visiting the library, shopping, and going out to lunch.
• Support mobility and use a lift safely when necessary.
• Maintain a compassionate demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Previous experience with special needs caregiving, home health, or assisted living is preferred.
• Ability to use a lift safely and assist with mobility.
• Must possess a valid CA driver's license.
• Must pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
